Privacy

This application has no accounts, advertising, or analytics scripts. The hosting platform uses Cloudflare security cookies to protect the service against automated abuse.

Saved locally

Saved places, the last selected location, and your theme preference are stored in your browser’s local storage. Removing a saved place deletes it from this browser. Clearing site data removes all local preferences.

Location

Location access is requested only after you choose “Use my location.” Coordinates are rounded to three decimal places (approximately 100 metres) before weather requests and local saving. They are sent to this application’s server and the National Weather Service to resolve weather for that point. City search runs locally using public Census data.

Shared forecast links contain the selected city ID or coordinates. Check the link before sharing a personal location. Saved labels stay in your browser and are not included in shared links.

External services

Your browser requests fonts from Google Fonts, map tiles from OpenStreetMap, and radar images from NOAA; those services receive normal connection information such as your IP address and requested map area. The hosting provider may keep standard access and security logs. The application does not add location analytics or log precise coordinates deliberately.

Fresh weather

There is no service worker or offline weather cache. The server temporarily caches upstream responses to reduce repeated requests. Weather and alerts require an internet connection.
